Doctoral Studentships in Cognitive Science at Southampton The Cognitive Psychology Laboratory and the Cognitive Sciences Centre (CSC) at The University of Southampton invite applications from graduate students who are interested in obtaining a doctoral degree in the Psychology Department and CSC at Southampton. One Studentship of #4910 pounds (~$7500) per year plus a tuition waiver is available internally and tenable for three years; for the remaining candidates, external studentships (e.g., ESRC) can be applied for jointly where a match of interests and expertise is found. One focus of the Laboratory is the learning and internal representation of categories in adults, children, animals and machines. Other possibilities include cognitive neuroscience and cognitive engineering.
