In this context, the communication devices, the objects with which they interact, or both may be mobile. The implementation of such a paradigm requires advances in wireless network technologies and devices, development of infrastructures supporting cognitive environments, and discovery and identification of ubiquitous computing applications and services. The second Annual International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Systems: networking and services (Mobiquitous-05) will cover all these aspects, representing a forum where practitioners and researchers coming from the many areas involved in ubiquitous solutions design and deployment will be able to interact exchanging the cross-layer experiences needed to build the overall ubiquitous systems. Areas addressed by the conference include: applications, service-oriented computing, middleware, networking, agents, knowledge management and databases. DEMOS: Proposals for research and industrial demos are solicited. A maximum of 2 pages should be submitted which include a description of the demo and needed resources from the conference organizers. Az MTA Pszichológiai Kutatóintézet Általános Lélektani Osztályára keresünk két munkatársat egy, az Európai Unió hatodik keretprogramjában elnyert, pályázat megvalósításához. A kutatás 2005 október 1-én indul és három évig tart. Célja zenei észlelés kognitív szempontú leírása és számítógépes modellezése. A projekten belül kutatócsoportunk újszülött csecsemÑkön és felnÑtt kontrol személyeken vizsgálja a zeneészleléshez szükséges alapvetÑ képességek meglétét (pl. hangközök és ritmus észlelése) agyi elektromos eseményfüggÑ potenciálok (AEP) módszerével. PhD hallgatói státusz: Keresünk egy, a kutatóhely profiljának megfelelÑ PhD programot már elkezdett, vagy azt a következÑ évben megkezdeni kívánó, a kutatás megkezdésekor már diplomával rendelkezÑ munkatársat. Feladata a felnÑtt kontrol kísérletek lebonyolítása és az osztály elektroenkefalográfiás (EEG) laboratóriumában található mñszerek és számítástechnikai eszközök felügyelete (hibák felderítése, szoftverek installálása és mñködtetése). Angol nyelv ismerete (középfokú nyelvvizsga, szakirodalom és szoftver leírás olvasása, alap szintñ írás és beszédkészség) szükséges. Fizetés a kutatókra vonatkozó közalkalmazotti szabályoknak megfelelÑen. Poszt-doktori státusz: Keresünk egy, a kutatóhely profiljának megfelelÑ PhD programot elvégzett, vagy a végzéshez nagyon közel álló (oktatási kötelezettségeit a pályázat indulásáig befejezÑ) munkatársat. Feladata a csecsemÑkön végzett vizsgálatok megtervezése, megszervezése, felügyelete, az eredmények kiértékelése és a publikációk elÑkészítése. Olyan munkatársat keresünk, akit hosszabb távon érdekelne csecsemÑk információ feldolgozási funkcióinak tanulmányozása. Angol nyelv jó szintñ ismerete (középfokú nyelvvizsga, szakirodalom készség szintñ olvasása, legalább közepes szintñ írás és beszédkészség) szükséges. A vizsgálatokra egy budapesti kórházban kerül sor. Az EEG méréseket egy, szintén a pályázatból fizetett, nÑvér végzi el. A kórházi beosztáshoz való alkalmazkodás bizonyos mértékñ rugalmasságot követel a munkaidÑ tekintetében. Fontos feladat az intézetben és a kórházban végzett kutatás összehangolása is. Ennek megfelelÑen, a munkaidÑ megoszlik a két helyszín között. Fizetés a kutatókra vonatkozó közalkalmazotti szabályoknak megfelelÑen.
