NEUROSCIENE PROGRAM
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2002/2003
Graduate School of Neural & Behavioural Sciences,
International Max Planck Research School
at the University of Tuebingen
Integrated Master's and Doctoral Degree Program
The multidisciplinary program in neural & behavioural sciences
links basic science and clinical research. It is organized by
members of the faculties of Medicine and Biology and of the
Max-Planck-Institutes.
Lectures, courses and laboratory training will be provided by
scientists whose research interests are mainly in vertebrate
neurosciences covering genetic, molecular, cellular,
developmental, clinical, psychophysical, behavioural and
cognitive approaches to the nervous system.
The program is international. Applicants should have a strong
background in natural sciences and hold one of the following
degrees: B.Sc. (or German equivalent) in biology, biochemistry,
chemistry, computer sciences, medicine, pharmacology, physics
or psychology. Priority is given to excellence based on grades
and work experience. Teaching is in English. Tuition fees not
required. Stipends are available for international students !!
During the Masters studies (1.5 years), intensive training
in all major aspects of neural & behavioural sciences will be
provided. Successful completion will qualify for entry into a
doctoral program (3 years). After submission of a thesis, the
degree ³Dr.rer.nat. in Neural & Behavioural Sciences² will be
awarded.
Application deadline for the academic year 2002/2003 is
March 31, 2002

Dear iqsa member and supporter,
*********************************************************
POSTDOCS and DOCTORAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR QUANTUM STRUCTURES
APPLIED TO COGNITION AND BIOLOGY
*********************************************************
The Center Leo Apostel at Brussels Free University has several
postdocs and doctoral scholarships to offer. The research involves the
application of quantum structures to other field of reality than the
micro-world, focused mostly on situations in cognition and biology,
but also philosophical aspects of this research will be considered.
I would be grateful if you would show this message -- eventually put a
copy 'ad valvas' -- to researchers in your department that might be
interested to apply.
Details about the projects and the way to apply can be found at the
address: http://www.vub.ac.be/CLEA/joboffers/
