We have several Postdoctoral Research Fellowships available at the CBCD
(Birkbeck, University of London) to start this year. Please pass on

One of
the projects will involve ERP testing of infants at risk for autism, and
would suit someone with experience of working with developmental
disorders. A second project will explore the neural basis of early
concept and category learning, and would suit someone with experience
of ERP recordign with infants, or testing early category learning. A
third project involves studies of novelty preference and its neural
bases.

Postdoctoral Research Fellows (12 to 36 months fixed term,full or
part-time)
We are seeking talented individuals to conduct research within the
Centre, working with Professor Mark Johnson,Dr Gergely Csibra and Dr
Denis Mareschal researching brain and psychological development in
typical and atypical babies and toddlers using behavioural testing and
brain imaging. The centre, led by Professor Mark Johnson currently
involves about twenty people, all part of a strong team in a friendly
working environment. See website

You will need to have a strong research background in cognitive
neuroscience, child development, experimental psychology or a related
discipline. You should have a keen interest in functional brain
development and have completed or near completed a PhD in Psychology or
a relevant, related discipline. Experience of analysing complex data
sets
and ERP/EEG or functional imaging is desirable, but not essential since
training can be given.
One post is funded in part by an award from the European Commission
Framework 6 Programme, and the another one by the Medical Research
Council.
Salary range: £21,836 to £31,504 per annum pro rata.
