(hétfő) 16:00 Az emberi nyelv fajunk egyik meghatározó sajátossága, ezért természetes felvetni azt a kérdést, hogy a génjeinkben hordozott információ mennyiben határozza meg nyelvünket. Léteznek-e nyelvi gének, és ha igen, akkor hogy működnek? Nyelvünket, ahogy korábban feltételezték, valóban egy-két szerencsés mutációnak köszönhetjük, vagy egy olyan hosszú evolúciós folyamatnak, amelynek során agyunk alapjaiban változott meg? Az előadás először át fogja tekinteni, hogy milyen módszereket lehet alkalmazni a nyelv genetikai hátterének a feltérképezésére, elsősorban a genetikai rendellenességek tanulmányozására koncentrálva. Az ilyen kutatások eredményei arra utalnak, hogy számos olyan gén van, amely érintett nyelvi képességeink kifejeződésében. Ezeknek a géneknek egy jelentős része úgynevezett transzkripciós faktor, vagyis más gének működéséért felel. Mindez arra enged következtetni, hogy a nyelvi képesség mögött meghúzódó genetikai háttér a gének komplex és harmonikus együttműködésén alapul, és az emberré válás során az emberi agy egy összetett „áthuzalozása” ment végbe. Ez az áthuzalozás megnövelte az agyi területek közti kapcsolatok számát, ami kritikusnak tűnik a nyelvi képességünk szempontjából. Az előadás kitér arra is, hogy egy nyelvészeti elmélet milyen keretek között mozoghat, ha figyelembe veszi a genetikai kutatások nyelvre vonatkozó eredményeit. The Memory and Language Lab and Department of Clinical Psychology & Addiction at Eotvos Lorand University cordially invite you to a talk by *Zoltan Mari* (Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine, Baltimore) *Electrophysiological markers of psychogenic movement disorders* Movement disorder clinics around the globe are perplexed by the rising number of psychogenic cases, which pose frustrating challenges from both the diagnostic & therapeutic standpoints. As 'disease markers' are becoming a critically important research target in a host of other disorders, psychogenic movement disorders remain elusive. This talk will review past research milestones in the quest to establish diagnostic markers for psychogenic movement disorders and presents one specific research study that investigated the feasibility of using 'event related desynchronization' (ERD) as a possible measure to document psychogenic etiology in comparison with a more established EEG measure (Bereitschaftspotential) in this regard. BCCCD is the only annual conference entirely focused on cognitive development in Europe. Submissions from all areas within this field of research are welcome. A Pécsi Tudományegyetem Általános Orvostudományi Karának Élettani Intézetében működő kutatócsoportunkba keresünk motivált, kutatói gyakorlattal rendelkező munkatársat tudományos munkatársi vagy tudományos segédmunkatársi munkakörbe. A sikeres pályázó a binokuláris fúzió és sztereopszis agyi mechanizmusait vizsgáló, a Nemzeti Agykutatási Program és az OTKA támogatásával folyó kutatásokban vesz majd részt. A projekt a Látásélettani Laboratórium (Buzás Péter) és a Humán Elektrofiziológiai és Csecsemő Látásvizsgálati Laboratórium (Jandó Gábor) szoros együttműködésével folyik. A kutatás módszertana elektrofiziológiai (EEG, single unit), pszichofizikai és funkcionális képalkotó (fMRI, optical imaging) eljárásokat ölel fel. A tudományos segédmunkatársi állás betöltőjétől elvárjuk, hogy a projektben végzett kutatásai alapján PhD fokozatot szerezzen. A kiválasztásnál az alábbi szempontokat vesszük figyelembe: . Végzettség: orvosi, természettudományos, pszichológus, mérnöki vagy egyéb releváns egyetemi végzettség. . Tudományos fokozat: a tudományos munkatársi álláshoz PhD fokozat szükséges. . Egyéb feltételek: az idegtudományok, kognitív tudományok, kísérletes orvostudomány, neuroinformatika vagy infobionika területén szerzett kutatási tapasztalat. Legalább középfokú angol nyelvtudás.
