McDONNELL FOUNDATION The National Institute of Mental Health The National Institute of Drug Abuse SUMMER INSTITUTE IN COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE AT DARTMOUTH COLLEGE The fourteenth annual Summer Institute will be held at Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire, from June 25 through July 7, 2001. The two- week course will examine how information about brain structure and function interact with issues in cognitive sciences and how approaches in cognitive science apply to other forms of neuroscience research. This year issues in COGNITION, REWARD AND LEARNING will be studied. A distinguished faculty will lecture on current topics in HUMAN COGNITION AS DETERMINED WITH HUMAN BRAIN IMAGING and REWARD AS STUDIED FROM THE NEURAL, SYSTEMS AND ECOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE. Laboratories and demonstrations will provide practical experience with methods in anatomy and functional imaging and their application to issues in cognitive neuroscience.
