Best regards, Denis Mareschal 3 year PHD Studentship in London A fully funded 3-year PhD studentship has become available to work with Dr Denis Mareschal at the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development (CBCD) at Birkbeck University of London. The CBCD is a world-class centre where researchers combine, neuroimaging, behavioural testing and computational methods to understand the links between cognition and the developing brain. The position is funded by the European Commission Framework 6 programme is part of a large research project exploring the transition from associative to rule-based category learning in infants. The project is entitled From Association to Rules in the Development of Concepts. The successful candidate will be required to enroll on a full-time PhD programme run by the School of Psychology at Birkbeck University London. Outstanding candidates with a prior degree in experimental psychology (or a related area) and strong research methods training should liaise directly with Dr Denis Mareschal (d.mareschal(a)bbk.ac.uk) prior to applying.  The position will begin no later than October 1st, 2005.
