Abstract:
the joint talks of Annett Bluschke and Adam Takacs provide an overview
of the intertwined cognitive and clinical
research in the Action Lab at the TU Dresden. The lecture starts with
an overview of the general concepts and tools
what the research group is using to better understand childhood-onset disorders.
Annett Bluschke will show this through neurofedback studies for ADHD.
She will present
(1) the origin of the concept of neurofeedback in the therapy of ADHD,
(2) the current trends in neurofeedback,
(3) and her results concerning the effect of neurofeedback on the
neuro-markers of inhibition in ADHD.
Adam Takacs will introduce the RIDE, a signal-composition method to
analyse EEG data, and its application in
the research of event-file binding in Tourette Syndrome. This talk
marks a new collaboration
between the universities of Dresden, Lübeck, ELTE, and the Vadaskert Hospital.
We are really looking forward to meet you there!
