Professor Giorgio Vallortigara of the Center for Mind/Brain Sciences
(CIMeC) at the University of Trento and Professor Francesca Simion of the
Department of Developmental Psychology at the University of Padua are
seeking to fill a joint post doc position in developmental cognitive
neuroscience. The Center and the Department offer an international and
vibrant research setting in which to investigate the biological bases of
predispositions for animacy and agency in human newborns to complement
parallel work carried out in non-human animal models.
We are looking for researchers able to build and maintain a high quality
research program and to contribute to the maintenance of a collegial and
collaborative laboratory environment. Experience with behavioural methods
in infant research is required.
The Center and the Departiment offer excellent experimental facilities and

and dynamic environment. Funding is available for 4 years. The initial
contract would be for 1 year.
