November, 5.00 pm, Z 14/room 412 Abstract One thesis that is argued is the following:thought experiments (TEs) cannot be reduced to arguments. Judgments immediately derived from (TEs) are modal and taxonomic particularized judgments. Cognizers are often better at assesing the modal and taxonomic features of a situation if it is a particular token situation. Therefore, our immediate, intuitional TE juddgments are probably geared to singular, concrete situations. Arguments come after and not before Tes.
